November 09 Major Goal AcheivedToday I pushed under 154! Which now means according to the BMI chart I am healthy. I have gone from Obese to Healthy, never thought I would actually succeed in dieting, but I finally found a way that works for me. I'm still going to continue dieting, from what I have read people with a BMI of 22 are most healthy, so that is my new goal. If I can meet that goal I will post again, I expect to hit it sometime in late January. Good luck to anyone reading this, it is definately worth the effort. August 28 Long time goneWell I am back, after giving up sometime in february. Afterwards I balooned back up to 195, so now I am back working on loosing weight again. Since the beggining of July I have been seriously dieting and today I weighed 174.6 which means I broke twenty pounds, next big milestone that I will record is when I make it below 154. Once that happens according to the bmi chart I will no longer be overweight, but average. I am looking forward to that. It felt real good to go from obese to just overwieght on the bmi chart so I can imagine how great it will feel to be normal, for the first time since freshman year of college. My time range to make it below 154 is anywhere between November 1, 2008 and January 15, 2009. I would love to have it below 154 before the year is up, but I won't be disappointed if it takes until the middle of January. February 12 Mixed ResultsMy wife had a good week and went down to 145, however I went to 181.4 which is a whopping .2 of a pound less than last week. There is a good reason though, it turns out that I had gone overboard on my diet part and restricted my calories by too much. I stopped counting calories and when I started again this week I realized I was eating around 500 calories a day. So this week I boosted my calorie intake back up to 1300. I definately feel better, last week I felt light headed most of the time which I think was a result of not eating enough. February 05 Still on trackMy weight this week is 181.6, so if I keep going at this rate I have the chance to break out of the 180s and into the 170s. The real great thing this week is that I am no longer obese according to a BMI chart, I have officially made it into the overweight category. My wife had a good week too she is now down to 147, though she is a little disappointed because she wasn't able to go to the gym as much as she would have liked this week. January 29 Good week for usI hit 184.2 today which means I have now officially passed the 10lbs lost mark, which makes me very excited. Its nice because the last pair of shorts I bought, I can now literally walk out of them, they fall around my ankles if I just walk across the room. Of course, they are not typical of all my clothes(mostly I have been squeezing into clothes that I should have replaced, but was too stubborn to do) , most of my clothes are only slightly loose, but I now have to wear a belt to keep them up. My wife is back down to 149 which is great she has restarted her diet and exercise program and is now more serious about it, so it will probably stick.
